This section highlights significant events occurring at the Center.

On Sept. 30 at their 125th Anniversary party,   Col.  Vince Forgione Presented an Award to Liberty Hose Co. # 2 Red Bank Fire Dept. For 125 Years of Keeping our Homefront Safe. He recalled seeing Liberty Hose Firemen Fight hellatious fires in Red Bank N.J and pledged his full support to their Fire Cadet Program.

This Came after his recent assignment to National as our new  Dep. Cmdr. Of Cadets.

Col. Vince Forgione Returned to Liberty Hose Co. No. 2 To participate in the annual Red Bank Fire Dept. Car Show.

The show which featured over 300 custom cars from the tri state area earned over 8 thousand dollars and sold out all of its food and beverages.

Col. Forgione Beat  all of the Hot Rodders by distance driven to the show, by Solo juggernauting  his dreadnaught 1985 corvette "Dealer Evaluation Model"  over 1250 miles in 19 hours of driving! This very Corvette he won in a test of Motorcycle riding skill in Florida at the famous Daytona Bike week!

He will be receiving a special award from the Center for this feat of motor-skill.

On the 4th of July 2007, Col. Vince Forgione  defthy accepted the challenge offered by the NYC "911" Corvette and came up with his own design, "Capt Hydro"! Capt. Hydro is a 1993 Fire Red Corvette which has been fullwize re-worked and customized by Col. Forgione Himself. As a "First to the Fire-First in Safety" Fire assault vehicle, it boasts actual fire fighting capability! Needless to say, He beat out the NYC "911" Corvette and 25 other fine Corvettes from the Long island Corvette Club and 300 other customized cars as well to win "Best Of Show"! Once again, He drove the Vehicle SOLO the 1250 miles from his headquarters in Fl. to Liberty Hose Co. #2 Red Bank Fire Dept. Headquarters in Rerd Bank N.J. in only 17 hours 24 min.!!!!!! (Without breaking the speed limit as proven by DETEX CLOCK and verified by AAA)

Col. Forgione was given a Special Award for his Awsome achievment by General Ogilvy. It is an actual Stearing wheel that came from a vehicle raced by none other than the famed WW-1 ace and hero, Gen. Eddie Rickenbacker! It is beautifully mounted and bears a list Col. Forgiones many feats of Motoring skill.

Ltc. Luanne Lassater won the Rocky Mountian Orienteering Olympics, beating 125 finalists from all services and the Canadian and Panamanian Military!

Luanne will be entered the Recondo Shootout in Panama last fall and was expected to Ace that one as well!  She DID!!! 122 finalists were left in the dust...er Jungle...Ooh-Rah!

Announcements

As of 00:01 1/Jan/08 The National Corps of Cadets Center reached its first sustaining Goal of 1 Million Cadets. This Goal was a Requirement For Col. Forgione to complete his probationary period and be promoted to the General Officer Corps. and to the Position of Commandant and Chairman of the General Staff.

Ltg. Forgione is well deserving of this rank and position and has proven his ability many times while acting as interim Commandant of Cadets, Commandant of Cadets and Vice Chairman of the General Staff during my many absences, all positions normally filled by a Brigadier General, a Major General and a Lt. General respectively

The transition is complete, as my time has been taxed violently by the demands of the Military Industrial complex. I hereby announce: that as soon as Ltg. Forgione has sufficient time in grade or If he should decide to accept a step promotion, the Rank of 4 Star General is His.

As this transition is now complete, I will leave the selection of the new Deputy Commandant of Cadets to him and him alone.

It is with great pride that I award him with that which he richly deserves, My very own Silver Stars which I received from General Westmorland back when dinosaurs ruled the earth. Roks*.

At the appropriate time and at a place of Honor, I will pin these mementos on his shoulders. I have full confidence in his ability to wear them proudly and carry the Corps of Cadets Center to its Destiny, To give each youth the chance to realize their full potential as a person, without the pressure of Military obligation.

Congratulations Colonel! It feels good to earn something the hard way, doesn't it?
Note: The Final roster of Cadets was: 1 million 119 thousand.

Now you must set your sights higher and seize the future I have always known you were destined for: Four Star General!
